2003 Trip Reports & Pictures
June

We have been out a number of times in June, just nothing spectacular, with the exception of the last paddle.

June 29, 2003
Don Rittwage and Gerry Flemming did a fantastic paddle from Saint Martins to Salmon River along the Fundy coast.  Incredible scenery.

The temperature varied from 24 to 15 degrees during the day.  Had coffee at the tourist centre at Salmon River and paddled back to Saint Martins.  Had a dolphin surface in front of us, turn towards us, surfacing twice, swim between us, and do a summersault behind us - very cool.

Distance wise, it was a tad long at 27.9km, but for the majority of the return trip we rode the tidal currents and were able to maintain speeds averaging about 9kph.
