October 1 - Saturday - Fall Colours - Shediac Bridge - Bateman's Brook
OK, we’ve not had sufficient frost yet to cause the massive colour change, so this turned out to be an exercise in exercise. As you can see from the picture, there were some colours, but it was really for the birds. 11.5km
October 2 - Cape Enrage
Well, the Best-Laid-Plans hit us again. Although the forecast this morning was for west winds at 10-kph, it was South winds with gusts approaching 25-kph. Two foot waves breaking on the rocky shore caused us to consider other plans. Two went to Cassie Cape on the Northumberland Straits, two went to Lockhart Lake – a nearby tidal lake, and one went home. Lakes in the area are relatively small, but I didn’t want to
go home dry.
