August 4 - Pointe Wolfe to Alma
We had a Baker's Dozen for this one-way, down-hill with the wind behind us 12K paddle.
For a while there was no wind, and it got hot, but as is common in the Bay, that
condition didn't last long and we picked up a light breeze. Good thing
because the Humidex readings were near 30ºC.
August 8 - Circumnavigate Shediac Island
We had 14 turn out for this 12K paddle. A couple of gusts of wind, but a
beautiful sunset.
Now if we could just get rid of those power-boats buzzing around.
August 15 - Aboiteau Wharf
It was a dark and stormy day, at least in Moncton, but the sun was out with blue
sky overhead in Cap Pele.
Only three turned out for this relaxing 8.3Km paddle.
August 17, 18, 19 - Campobello Island
We had a wonderful weekend on Campobello Island. There wasn't a lot of sunshine
but the weather was warm, calm and there was good visibility on the water.
Whales, and we saw quite a few, were highly visible against the backdrop of the
white sky and the flat water. The group got out on the water on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday at various stages of high and low tide.
Good friends, good times... another lifetime memory.
August 22 - Circumnavigate Shediac Island
We had 10 paddlers turn out for this second to last Wednesday evening paddle of
11.3km.
Beautiful sunset!
August 25 - Kouchibouguac Grey Seal Adventure
We had 15 adventurers turn out for this 14Km paddle.
The weather was great, no mosquitoes and a bunch of seals just waiting for us.
