August
August 02 - Cocagne Island
We had six turn out for this11.8km paddle.
August 12 - Cape Enrage
Well, it was anything BUT Enraged.
The weather was perfect and nine turned out for this 13km paddle.
Super Moons cause very high tides and rip-tides.
Entering the channel into Barn Marsh Creek my GPS recorded speeds of 12 and
13km/h, and we had currents pushing us almost all the way to the road.
August 16 - Shediac River
While it was windy on the exposed Bay, we had a nice 14km paddle up the river.
Aug 20 - Buctouche Dunes - South End
We had seven turn out for this paddle. Beautiful evening with rogue waves
to keep us awake.
Aug 23 - 25 - Campobello Island
We had a great weekend on Campobello Island. It was sunny and warm with very
little wind. Six couples enjoyed this adventure. We didn’t see many whales but
we did have a close-up encounter with a large shark. We got out for at least
five paddles… no problems, no injuries, great experience. I wish we could spend
a week here.
