July

Rather than put a bunch of thumbnail images to click on that send you to the full-size images, the map thumbnail sends you straight to the start of the image set.

July 04 - Cassie Cape
It was a scorching 32ºC in the city, but 8ºC cooler on the water.
Five came out for this relaxing 9km paddle.

July 07 - Cap Lumiere
OK, it was windy, and although 5 of us shower up, two left for more sheltered paddling.  Normally we paddle North towards the Richibucto River, but the waves and wind would have made the paddle annoying.  Instead three of us went South for a total paddle length of 13¼ km.

July 11 - Robichaud Village Wharf
A disappointing turnout with only two of us, but being the stronger paddlers, we went 12.81 kilometers.  Lots of waterfront shacks along the coast.  Watched an osprey hunting.

July 15 - Tidnish River, NS
Well, we had 11 boats (12 paddlers) turn out for this beautiful day of paddling, with the current, on the Tidnish River for this almost 17km paddle.  As the crow flies, it would probably be a lot shorter as the river is deep, twisty and very silty.

July 28 - Five Islands Provincial Park
Seven boats turned out for this perfect day for paddling, if a trifle hot.
Rather than paddling the namesake islands, we paddled the coast line which is an impressive sight to behold.
