August

Rather than put a bunch of thumbnail images to click on that send you to the full-size images, the map thumbnail sends you straight to the start of the image set.

August 04 - Tidnish River
Five turned out for this 14km paddle.
We had the option of heading out into the Bay, but there was a steady 20km/h WSW breeze blowing and the river is sheltered.
Lots of other people using the river in tubes, river kayaks, sea kayaks and lots of party boats.

August 07 - Shediac River
It was scheduled to be a Shediac Island paddle, but the winds would have made that an annoying choice.
We had 4 turn out for this 9.16km paddle, and as you can see from the images, there was no problem with winds.

August 16-18 - Campobello Island
We had only 4 paddlers out for these paddles.
Friday was 8.7km while Saturday was 11km.
We saw Bald Eagles, Harbour Seals, Harbour Porpoise, Minke and Finback whales.

August 25 - Grey Seal Adventure
We had 6 turn out for this paddle.
Although the winds were light, the breakers over the sandbars were daunting.
There were seals, but previous paddlers and boaters  caused them to move from the sandbar to the sea.
