August

Rather than put a bunch of thumbnail images to click on that send you to the full-size images, the map thumbnail sends you straight to the start of the image set.

August 02 - Alma to Dennis Beach
Eight turned out for this 15km paddle.
We had the option of heading SW along the coast into the light wind, but we'd be paddling into the current and the wind for the first half.  So instead we went NE, probably not the best option as the waves continued to hound us no mater what direction we went, or shelter we had.

August 08 - Circumnavigate Cocagne Island
We had 6 paddlers out for this 12.3km run.
Our launching area was busy - lobster season opens Monday and everybody was getting ready.
Overall, a nice paddle, not too hot, not too much wind.

August 22 - Port Elgin, Gaspereau River
Double forgetful - I left my GPS in the car, and didn't have the GPS function turned on in my camera.
So the map is a best guess, knowing we didn't go under power lines.
In any case, we went up the river till we basically ran out of water.
I think there were 10 of us, but we got spread out pretty well.
